Microsuction is a quick, safe and painless treatment. During the procedure, you might feel a slight pulling or tickling sensation and will hear a loud vacuum-like sound.
For most people, microsuction is not a painful procedure, though some people might find it slightly noisy and uncomfortable.
Microsuction uses a gentle vacuum to remove ear wax without any water. Ear syringing (or irrigation) uses a pressurised flow of water to flush wax out of the ear canal instead.

- Nurse appointments: £55 for 1 or 2 ears.
- Doctor appointments: £95 for 1 or 2 ears.
If we don’t find any earwax during your appointment, we charge £25 for a nurse appointment and £50 for a doctor appointment.
Children over the age of 12 can be booked in for a microsuction appointment. However, they must be booked in for an appointment with a GP.
