FAQs

Why choose MyHealthcare Clinic for your cryotherapy treatment?

We ensure that all patients are seen and treated by our team of carefully selected doctors and specialists, ensuring expert clinical care at every visit.

Unlike many clinics offering cryotherapy via ‘pens’ or histofreeze, we offer medical grade and approved cryotherapy of -196 degrees celcius, approved by dermatologists for the treatment of skin based conditions.

What are the side effects of cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a medical treatment and as such, does come with some risks or side effects. Most patients experience mild or little side effect. Potential side effects and risks include pain, redness, swelling, blistering, infection, skin discolouration, slow healing and lesion recurrence.

How long does treatment take?

Cryotherapy is a relatively quick treatment, with each lesion requiring approximately 10-20seconds (exact timings vary based on the type of lesion). You will receive treatment on the same day and can leave the clinic once finished.

We will provide wound care advise on how to look after the treated area when at home.

Will I require more than 1 visit?

Some skin lesions can be persistent and may require a follow up visit and treatment if they are stubborn to treat. While this does not often occur, if required our team can book you for a further treatment if needed.
